I pride myself on offering a wide range of workshop themes and topics, however, if you don't see what you are looking for within this site please contact me as workshops can be developed to meet your specific requirements, whatever the theme!
Some examples:
1. Rockspring Community Centre, Ludlow, Shropshire, April 2007: Go-Cart Building Workshop - Over five days of the Easter holidays ten children aged 10 - 13 years came to the Rockspring Community Centre to build their own wooden go-cart. Using basic hand tools and materials the children learnt a range of essential skills under strict supervision and by the end of the week had all produced their own working go-cart to keep and use. The finished go-carts were later decorated by the children with the support of a local artist based at Ludlow Assembly Rooms and paraded around the Ludlow Carnival as part of the wider Community Projects display group. A real sense of pride and achievement was felt by all the children as they proudly paraded their go-cart to the crowds of carnival goers.
2. Kineton High School, Warwickshire, November 2007: Animatronics - 'Chamber of Horrors' - Around twenty, 'Gifted & Talentd' , Year 8 / 9 students gave up their Saturday to attend a basic animatronics based workshop to design horrifying exhibits for the Kineton 'Chamber of Horrors'. As well as a range of gory creations the students fully set-dressed their 'chamber' and devised roles for themselves within as their invited family and friends were scared witless (ish!).
